Backgammon is the oldest game in recorded history. Also known as the "little war," backgammon appeared in Mesopotamia (now known as Iraq) about 5 millennia ago. For all that, Egyptians called backgammon "Senat," which is a close form of the present game enjoyed right now. Centuries ago, just individuals of influence, the ruling figures of aristocracy like Egyptian pharaohs, were able to enjoy. The game started to grow around the planet in time. For example, The Greeks grabbed a hold of the game and coined the name "bac gamen." From there, the English borrowed backgammon in the 1600’s and have continued to play it ever since. Backgammon and competing archaic games were never acknowledged by many faiths. The churches felt that the game was the tool of Beelzebub. This caused clergy to blackball and burn the game. The ban and burning did not stop people competing games and enjoying themselves.
Computers offer an additional arena for Backgammon. When different electronic machines are for sale everywhere, computer researchers in Artificial Intelligence (AI) have been using Backgammon for assessing, creating and analyzing AI theories and formulas as a consequence of the ease of game codes and complexity of schemes.
