The Essential Facts of Backgammon Game Plans – Part One
The aim of a Backgammon game is to shift your pieces around the game board and pull those pieces from the game board quicker than your challenger who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a game in Backgammon requires both strategy and good luck. Just how far you can move your pieces is left to the numbers from rolling the dice, and just how you move your chips are decided on by your overall playing techniques. Players use differing strategies in the differing parts of a game based on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Technique
The aim of the Running Game tactic is to bring all your pieces into your inside board and bear them off as quickly as you can. This strategy focuses on the speed of advancing your chips with no time spent to hit or stop your opponent’s chips. The best time to use this tactic is when you think you can shift your own pieces a lot faster than your opponent does: when 1) you have a fewer pieces on the game board; 2) all your pieces have past your opponent’s pieces; or 3) your opponent does not use the hitting or blocking technique.
The Blocking Game Technique
The main goal of the blocking tactic, by its title, is to block your opponent’s chips, temporarily, not worrying about shifting your chips quickly. As soon as you’ve created the barrier for the opponent’s movement with a couple of checkers, you can shift your other checkers swiftly off the board. You really should also have a clear plan when to withdraw and move the checkers that you employed for the blockade. The game becomes interesting when the opponent uses the same blocking technique.
